Is it just me, or did the weekend fly by? I hope you had a good weekend and it was prosperous for you. I figured Saturday I would be the good husband and get all the domestic duties out of the way so that Angela and I could enjoy Sunday with the top down, bombing around the country side. Saturday was beautiful but we managed to stay indoors to get all the domestic stuff done so we could reward ourselves with a relaxing Sunday. The plan was to park Jess in the garage without her top, leave early morning and go on a road trip. First stop was to be breakfast at my favorite central Illinois diner, The Palms. From there we would work our way north. Well, as luck would have it, it rained all day Sunday so we just stayed home and drank tea and talked. We did manage to take a drive to our favorite dinner but for supper, not breakfast. The only railroad activity I did was Sunday night, pouring through my book on railroads in my home state of New Hampshire. I'm slowly collecting data and drawing up track plans for my eventual B&M and Maine Central New Hampshire layout. Southern NH was a surprise of discovery of still current rail activity under the ownership of Pan Am. Google Earth was once again able to help out with track planning. What will I end up doing? It's too early to tell. So how about you? Was it a productive weekend for you? Let us know. We'll come back at the end of this week on Friday the 11th to start off another weekend. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and of course... High Greens!
I actually got some modelling accomplished. I was able to work on my oil derricks. Got their bases installed and the access road cut in. Thanks, hope y'all had a great weekend, Wolf
Glued down some foamboard to build up a little hill for the roller coaster's exit and waiting line After doing some touch ups to the walkway paint, I started putting the fencing up for the Musik Express waiting line. Put the "Hot Dog Man" stand in it's final home and threaded the wires through the baseboard.
Got a few items done. Installed a decoder in one of my C44-9W Warbonnets, installed metal wheels until I ran out and wired one end of my yard into the rest of the bus (car shop end). I also finished up plaster and painting the mountains I had to open up to replace a bad section of track that kept causing details. This time I added an access lift out panel to the mountain.... trees and brush to follow. Steve Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
