Good morning, good evening wherever you may be, gather round and pull up a chair, we're about to start another Weekend Modeling Plans. Saturday: Is my Angela's Birthday. With her heritage being mainly that of Irish ancestry, it is fitting that she celebrate her Birthday tomorrow. With work stress and the new puppy, Lucy, I figured one of the best gifts I could give her was a complete day that did not involve work, me away, watching the dog, domestic duties and cooking. So I've planned a day for her that involves breakfast, road trip, lunch, more road trip and dinner before coming home and having cake. Depending on the weather however will dictate which day we do all of this. Sunday is looking better with sun and temps in the mid 50's. Sunday: Which ever day we choose to celebrate, the alternate weekend day will be used for domestic duties and some modeling. All of the track work is complete on my small New England switching layout and with two shows in April, I really need to get this moving. I have four Tam Valley servos that need to be installed on the four remaining turnouts then ballasting will take place. My not so local hobby shop was able to supply me with the rest of my industries that will be used so now I just need to build them. I also have Galesburg City Job modules that need to be finished up. I guess I'll see how much I can get done this weekend! So how about you? What do you have planned this weekend? Let us know. We'll all re-assemble on Monday the 19th to see how we all did. Until then, run some green on your layout, watch for clovers, don't drink too much and of course... HAPPY SAINT PATRICK DAY! High Greens!
Taking this weekend off from model RRing. We are taking a much needed couple of days off --- we are going camping with two other couples. See Ya'll on Sunday evening. Have a great weekend, Wolf
Planning on more trees. Also since I was called into work Monday night I didn’t get what I wanted done last weekend so it looks like ballasting and ground cover for Sunday’s to do list. Still working on my scrap yard.
thinking about taking the layout outside, putting ground cover on all unseniced areas and taking natural light pics...
Hoping to finish setting up my recently recovered work bench and equipment. Might even start assembling a T-Trak module kit. Might...
Setting up a work bench can be exciting stuff. One of the problems w/ my layout is I have spent LESS time at the bench building models and decaling. Probably my favorite part of the hobby. As more me this weekend.......? More wiring.
