The promise of a new weekend is upon us! What do you have planned for this weekend?

Today is the big day for Angela's son, C day, college bound. I guess that offially makes us "Empty Nesters". It also makes me feel old. Oh well, life comes at you fast. As far as railroad projects go, I have been so busy with my new man cave, aka, garage, I have not done much in the way of trains lately. I do need to start getting some brick styrene sheets so I can build the older buildings of Butler before Trainfest. Hopefully I can get motivated. My club in Bloomington is having a fun run at the Normal Public Library this weekend and if I go, I'll be running some trains on the Ntrak modules. Time will tell however as a busy weekend of activities has quickly filled the schedule.

So how about you? Do you have plans that involve railroading, model or prototype? Let us know! We will assemble again on Monday the 21st to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, keep it safe, have fun and...

    High Greens!

Not sure (Again) if I'll get any model railroading in this weekend. Taking the little women's car in for service tomorrow. Then I will be heading over to my friends MRR open house. He is on a local MRR tour. As for Sunday -- ??

Hope Y'all have a great weekend,
    Wolf

    • Run Trains
    • Clean Train Room
    • "Maybe" cut some plywood for the next phase putting in mainline track
    • Run Trains
    • Run the Sunday Morning Mail Train
Have easily half of the mainline in now. Used to run a Sunday morning mail train on the previous editions of the Albemarle Division. A simple engine headed to the coal branch with a couple of freigh cars and a combine carrying mail and a few passengers trying to find their way home after a Saturday night doing.... well, whatever.

I'll continue what I started on my control boxes for my layout-in-progress. These will power/isolate various spurs and sections via toggle switches.

The whole shebang should cost under forty bucks, as I found some sizeable project boxes for $8 apiece, and each toggle costs 99 cents.

Tomorrow begins "A Great Passion for Small Trains" at Exporail, the Canadian railway museum in Delson, Quebec. Guess where I'll be?;)
