We're rounding down the last stretch of the week before getting the highball for the weekend! Are you ready? This weekend officially ends an era, the era of Angela's son Jared being home for the weekend. Next week he is off to college and starts a new chapter in his life. My weekend will be busy getting his car ready for the trip and college life as well as other domestic chores. That said, I'll still be working on train related activities. I have the garage project 90% done, with just a few odds and ends left. Admittedly, I have not worked on the Galesburg City Job since before I left to get Jess from NH, in total, over a month ago. I had a scare after Galesburg RR Days that forced me to reevaluate the future of the layout. Instead of doing anything I may regret later, I've walked away from it and have been exploring ideas of switching layouts based on B&M and Maine Central prototypes specifically in my home state. So any time I have off from domestic duties will be spent with Google Earth and a few of my favorite books on the aforementioned railroads. Doesn't mean however I won't play trains on the City Job however because I am itching to operate some trains. So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? as currently planned I should get some time to rail fan my prototype on Saturday. I've also got the one section of my old layout up as a proof of concept in the layout space and will continue tinkering on it.
Not sure if I'll get any modelling accomplished. Heading to the range tomorrow. Sighting in my Rem. 700. Preparing for season next month. Sunday --- not sure. Hope Y'all have one heck of a great weekend, Wolf
I've started and will continue wiring the new layout. The wiring schematic is done and I'll soon buy the parts necessary to make this work. At this time, the yard tracks are wired and the leads are ready to be put into the power control panel (yet to be built but schematic also done). Next up, the branch line, industry spurs and the city center line will be wired.
