Well we’re back, I hope it was a good weekend for you. Let’s see how we did. Pull up a chair and gather around.

Saturday: The main reason for my move back east was because of my now elderly parents and taking care of them. Saturday was one of those days where Dad and I had to repair years of deterioration due to a leak. We are currently replacing floor joist and spent Saturday jacking up the house to make said repairs. We have a long ways to go but we made good progress working all day Saturday. Needless to say, I got zero train stuff done.

Sunday: It rained off and on. I got up and got all my domestic duties done and took the afternoon off. I finally broke down and joined the 21st century by upgrading my flip phone for an iPhone. My old phone was no longer reliable as it was not getting calls at all and outbound calls were frustrating. I then went gun shopping, had a nice meal and did my grocery shopping. Yup, you guessed it, no model railroad activity of any kind. I may be out of the loop for the next 6 to 18 months.......RATS.

So how about you? Did you get to play with trains? I hope you did. Let us know what you accomplished this past weekend. We’ll meet at the station again on Friday the 12th to do it all over again. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and as always...

I had a very productive modeling weekend:

Saturday: I painted the second color (Lark Dark Gray) onto the remaining 12 cars. I then rolled up my sleeves and got to cleaning my track (Got about 80% of the mainline done).... man was it filthy. I'm not completely done. I still have the yard, PMT terminal tracks and the engine service facility tracks to do. Next weekend - ?? LOL.

Sunday: Cleaned the remainder of the mainline -- and ran a couple of trains - the first time their wheels turned in months -- found a minor hick up with one turnout - the solder let go at the throw bar and pint rail. It will be a quick fix.
I also painted a couple of boxcars that will be storage sheds.

Then I added a new little vignette: (I've had this in mind for quite awhile)
My utility crew was dispatched out to check on a transformer

I had a great weekend. I will let the pics tell the story.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]this is the last part of this section to be completed. Looking at a parking lot and a cemetery.
[IMG]i want flashing lights for these crossings but at $75 a pop they will have to wait. [IMG][IMG][IMG]this last pic is the next section for me to work on once I get the parking lot and cemetery finished. I will be having a tree planting party,I need to make a lake, a campground, park with baseball players, a small road, etc...

Not much this weekend. Saturday was spent at an NC State - Boston College football game. Breakfast tailgate for 3 hours, then game all afternoon. Yesterday I did decal a C&O hopper and a SUN OIL tank car. Using up some of the hundreds of Champ Decals I collected in the early 2000's when I found out they were eventually closing.

Today I finished the last little scene on the one side of the layout. All it needs is some firefighters to go with the engines in the fire scene. Have them, just haven’t figured out how to remove them from the plastic base they came on. They are scene master by life like. Now on to the next section. Lots of tree planting to be done there.
