    We are back. Did you get a lot done?

    Not a whole lot for me. As predicted, I helped Dad look for a suitable replacement for the 22 year old Delta 88, but nothing has turned up yet. It looks like all the manufacturers have axed the sedan in favor of SUVs, Crossovers and Pick Up trucks. Sunday however I did manage to get the rest of the City Job up and now I’m in the process of cleaning track. Maybe by next weekend, I can finally run trains.

    So how about you? Did you accomplish everything you set out to do? Let us know. We’ll assemble again on Friday the 7th to start the process all over again. Until then, have a great week, stay safe, oh and it’s the season!

    Happy Hanukkah!

    High Greens!

    Saturday - I wrestled with 3 new appliances. The micro and dishwasher went in without a hitch. The stove top (now gas) - went in fine. I was not able to hook it up to the gas line. The main gas shut off valve is rusted shut. So, the gas dude (Or Dudette) will be out next Tuesday.... damn!!

    Sunday: I finished installing a decoder in my ol Arnold Rapido S-2 -- man what a PITA. This has to have been my most challenging decoder installation.
    At the moment -- no lights. Not sure if I'll go there or not.

    Here she is -- I painted her in 1992 --

    I prepped some power poles by adding a little paint to them. Otherwise all I can say is my weekend is not yet over. I need to finish the area I’ve been working on. It needs a campground sign, a chain link fence, a few power poles, a baseball game. From here I go to work on some electronics.

    I did run some locomotives around to check the trackwork and exercise some that have been sitting around too long. Next I started to do some weathering and wow, am I out of practice!!! Way too heavy handed. I'm going to work on toning some of it down - a lot - but may have to re-paint a piece or two. While those buildings were off the layout, I painted some asphalt and put some ground cover down to hide more of the foam.

    Got working quite a lot, but all that does show in a picture is a nice spaghetti bowl of wires.
    Gosh, I HATE WIRING!
    :sick::sick::sick::sick:
    But in any case connected two signals, some lamps and put a new accessory decoder.....still a lot to go.

    Added another five ground throws to the layout, securing the most traffic-prone turnouts.

    Another three or four in the yard and it's all done.

    Finally getting some real solid benchwork installed. No more repurposed Ikea cabinetry and wall shelving that was at its weight limit with one row of super light modules. Now I can build whatever without worrying about the weight so much.

    Yes I am late, was so tired I forgot to post monday :p
