Without poking through the coal load? Without starting to file away, I couldn't close the top, on on a 10.7x7.7x2.8 Lenz gold mini plus. I guess, if I poke through, I can line the inside of the coal load with kapton tape and crush some real coal? I'm pretty excited about the prospect, but I'm not a painter, so damaging the shell is something I'd like to avoid. Athearn 2-8-0 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The DCX77 decoders from CT Elektronik are smaller than the Lenz model you mentioned. http://www.tran.at/ http://www.tran.at/Dokumentation/DCX77zD.pdf http://www.tran.at/Dokumentation/DCX77L.pdf
Thanks Point. It seems finding these involves patience. They are sold out everywhere Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Check out the relative sizes of LokPilots and the Zimo sub-micro decoders. You might be able to just shave away the underside of the coal load, without breaking through
I think you can grind the underside of the coal load to make them fit. I opted to get some styrene strip and cut strips to fit under the coal load and rais it by about 2mm. Seems to give enough room. I just painted it to match the tender. Trey
I've got some LocPilots on order. The nano versions don't seem available. I'll try one, or wait Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
