    Man...that is some beautiful work.

...you really CAN'T tell that's Z scale! Have you posted photos of your over-all layout? What brand of roadbed are you using? (this question can apply to anyone...)

    Incredible...:)

PS: Frank: if you are a member of any of the other Z scale Forums, you should consider posting that last picture on those sites; I'm positive it will garner a lot of discussion, comments and...compliments.

My layout was shown in the 'what's on your workbench?' thread. and you can find switching videos here on train board as well. Good to read you like what I am doing in Z scale. The layout is just a small switching layout. But the scratchbuilding of rolling stock kept me from completing the layout. Recently I started on a paited background. The background in previous photo's were added with paintshop. Eventually I want to connect it to a loop for continious running trains and a fiddle yard. Still a lot of modeling to do....

OK, my layout is not as good as the layouts of the wizards out here, but I am quite satisfied with the results. As an N-scale modeller, I was surprised with the details of the rolling stock, and the possibilities of scratchbuilding.

    I agree.

Say, what's the story on the little station off to the right in those pictures?

The yellow-red depot? I have scratchbuilt that building, with several prototypes as inspiration. So, not a specific model, but a generic looking American depot (or, so I hope.....). The colouring is a bit like the Rock Island did.

Here is another one to get folks wondering if it Z. I took this photo for an upcoming AZL ad.
