    Hi y'all,

My name is Gerard Wassink, I'm from 1957, so almost 60 years old (or young) now. My layout is a freelance railroad, "Washtown & Beijville RailRoad" in H0. I'm interested in the (DCC and Loconet) techniques behind the hobby and scenery comes in 3rd or 4th... ;-)

Now I'm trying to make my own DCC command station based on Arduino with DCC++. I have questions about that and will post those in the appropriate boards.

Have a look at my (Dutch) website!

    Gerard

    Welcome aboard, Gerard!
I too would be interested in DCC, but I fear I'd never understand all of the coding, etc.
60 isn't bad as long as your brain is still in tact! :)

Hi Bill, there's no need to understand all the code. I haven't looked into the code (yet ;-) ). It's relatively easy to load the code and upload in into the Arduino.

Here's my report on how I built it...

In the meantime, this afternoon I hooked it up to JMRI and it works beautifully!

Next I would like to be able to read and write Loconet as well... But that's for another day. ;)

    60 is the new 30...

    Gerard
