I sat down today to continue tuning up unruly rolling stock with the wheel tool I came up with and it dawned on me that I need to tell others about this thing-a-ma-jig. Also, I have some questions. Lots of questions. I tore out my original ill conceived layout and started building my new one about a year ago while recuperating from knee replacement. I'm running regular DC with 2 cabs now expanding to 4 later. My railroad depicts what you would see following the tracks from Elk Grove California to Reno Nevada on Google Earth. A whole lot of back yards, operating and derelict businesses and a bunch of strange stuff.
How do and what is this gentle of which you speak? In a more serious vein, what is the wheel tool designed for? May well be something people will like seeing.
Hey Mr. R, welcome aboard. Please do tell us about your thing-a-ma-jig. You have succeeded in tweaking our engineering minds. Face it, all model railroaders have a smattering of engineering cells strewn throughout their gray matter. Why else would we be bending track, installing turnouts, creating control systems, modifying rolling stock, building structures, and all other neat stuff that requires diverse technical skills. Sheesh, and our neighbors thought we were just "playing with trains".
If you are the type to come up with thing-a-ma-jig....you're in the right place! So don't keep us in suspense, Tell me More...tell me More!! Jim
