On suggestion of one of the staff of trainboard, I have joined today. My name is Koos Fockens, I am a Dutch citizen but have lived in the UK since 1999. Married with children. Some of you might know me from other places on the inter web as I've posted on other forums here and there, and have also had a few articles published in the Model RR press, most recently MRH magazine. My main modelling interest is the Southern Pacific RR in HO scale. I have a fairly broad interest in the SP but mainly model the diesel era between roughly 1975 and 1985. I am not that 'specific' as to era yet, but that may change as my collection of models increases and I have enough to set up an ops session set in 1977, and the next time in 1988 for example... I also like the CFNR short line, in the early 90's. This gives me the opportunity to mix later SP power with early CFNR in their forming years. I particularly enjoy loco kitbashing/detailing, weathering, scenery and operating a modular layout with friends at the local club. Hope to enjoy my time here. Koos
Hi Koos, welcome, glad to have you aboard. I look forward to the benefit of your knowledge and ability as you join in conversations.
Welcome aboard, Koos. I, for one would love to see some photos of your work. They inspire me to keep moving on. I agree with Fitz ... I'm very sure you will enjoy your time here as much as we will.
Welcome to Trainboard. I studied abroad at the University of Exeter a while so am familiar with Devonshire.
