I often look at plans for one scale and then imagine how they would work either larger, or smaller.

Do it all the time. Mostly I'm converting N to HO, sometimes O to HO. Always trying to stay alert about aisle spacing.

Sure. My N-scale layout is basically John Allen's HO Gorre & Daphetid track plan converted to N-scale.

I have reduced two HOs down to N back in the 1990s. Sorry I have no photos or drawings.

One thing that probably won't scale well when converting a layout to a smaller scale are aisles, passageways, and squeeze-bys. An aisle that is 30" wide in HO will become a 16" aisle if you do a straight conversion from HO to N.

I'm kind of intrigued by that track plan. May I ask where you found it?

I was using bing/images to search for random track plans. But if you look at the site address, you can see it comes from: https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com
