    This is the same spot today. No factory, no tower. Where there were two tracks, NYC and PRR, there is just CSX (NYC). The plant behind Delco Tower was Philadelphia Quartz which ceased doing buisness a number of years ago, about 2000.

    Probably more efficient for CSX, but represents the loss of routing flexibility and service to smaller customers and towns. :(

    Very interesting to compare, both in terms of the rail itself and the roadbed.
