I went with my friend Ken to photograph the Clinch last October. It is a great line full of great people. I will never regret taking that trip.

Report that EHH has begun operating a manifest each way on the Clinchfield.

Unfortunately I now hear that the manifest route via the Clinchfield is only temporary. Such a waste that one of the most highly engineered lines in the east is virtually dead. Years ago during my career with a large shipper, we routed nearly all of our high cube boxcar loads from the southeast to the midwest via the Clinchfield. The line's clearances were matched only by the SOU's Rathole.
