Does anyone know a manufacturer? Best as a brass model. I'm planning a new layout on the Fraser River theme. Greetings
Sorry, no input. The last N-scale bridges I did were from cardstock. I don't mean to harp but I am a bit of a cardstock nut due to the flexibility it has given me.
I don't think it exists in any scale. If anything, you've have to draw it up and send it to a photo etcher. Alternatively, you could see if these are available, for a cool $2 grand US, and you'd still have to modifiy it, as Canyon Diablo is different than Cisco. https://www.traincat2.com/d_cantileveredtruss.htm For the benefit of the class, this is the bridge in question: https://flic.kr/p/2hrNxbz
We have been to the Fraser so often. Now you want to have the Cisco Bridge as a model. TrainCat.com has beautiful brass models. Maybe I can ask if they would make this bridge. Kitbashing is the other option. But I couldn't build that bridge.
The only brass bridge I've seen advertised in N Scale are BLMA's (now Atlas) Items 2002 (Black & Silver) and 2003 (Black) @ $289 to $325 Ea. It's modeled after a UP prototype that spans the Mojave River in southern CA. The model is 15" Long and must be quite something to behold.
Looks like TrainCat has been shut down for a while: From the home page: "Due to the passing of my wife, TrainCat remains in hiatus." Too bad. I was thinking about their auto-ramp and tank car facilities.
The Central Valley bridges are a good base: https://www.cvmw.com/nscale.htm I have converted several kits from it. Maybe you could make a completely new construction out of these kits?
http://lewisrrbridge.com/Work.htm I have some new information on the topic. Does anyone know this manufacturer? Makes a very interesting impression for me.
Its a LONG thread - dating back to 2012 - but in N scale this is probably the best representation of Cisco you will find: https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=27858.msg287977#msg287977
Thanks a lot. I knew the thread and also his YouTube clips. Indeed, it's great. I know the original from many visits to BC Canada.
I want to bring up the old topic again. Does anyone have any ideas on the subject? My benchwork is in progress.
