Yes it is August but fall is just around the corner (Thankfully!!!!) I'm tired of the heat.

The Lewis County Model Railroad Club is sponsoring their Fall Model Train Show and Swap Meet, 14-15 October 2017.

This is an all scales show with items from Z scale to G scale plus Tinplate, Toy Trains, and collectibles. Multiple operating layouts will be on display.

Over 160 tables available for sellers. We always sell out so reserve your table early. As of 4 August we have sold 120 tables.

Saturday ONLY: Admission includes FREE admission to the Lewis County Historical Museum, home of the Lewis County Model Railroad Club layout.

Located in the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds Blue Pavilion building.

2555 N. National Ave., Chehalis, WA 98532. Loads of FREE parking.

If arriving from the north, take S. Gold Street which changes into National Avenue at NE Exhibitor Road. Both Gold and National are one-way heading south. If arriving from the south, take Kresky Avenue and then cross over to National on Exhibitor Road. The entrance is across the street from Titus Will Chevrolet. See the attached link to a Google Map:

With about 1 month to go until the show, we only have 8 tables left. Reserve your spot now.

See the above post for full details.

Also, we still have room for operators at our free open operating session on Oct 21st.

Only two weeks left to go. We have lined up an HO scale modular group, a Z scale group requiring eight 6' tables, a Lionel layout that the kids are welcome to play with, an N scale layout, a 12' long HO European layout, and a Swiss HOm gauge layout. We still have a few tables available if you would like to sell at the show.

Remember, your admission on Saturday includes free admission to the Lewis County Historical Museum: The home of the Lewis County Model Railroad Club layout.

I hope to see you there.

I keep hoping I can attend, some day. It has been too long. Maybe I will find a way to move back home to western WA.

It is official, we have sold out all 174 tables that we had and managed to squeeze in 4 more for a total of 178 tables.

Glad to hear that you are going to try to come down on Sunday Kurt. Sorry to hear that you live too far away Boxcab.

Here you go. I haven't used my camera in years so it took me a couple of days to figure out how to make a video. Then I had to download a video editor and figure out how to use it.

The video was shot on Sunday morning before we opened the doors. Excellent Saturday turnout with over 400 attendees. Sunday was unusually slow with only about 150 attendees. This doesn't include those that came on Saturday and returned on Sunday to pickup that item that they decided that they really did need. It was a sunny warm day which may have cut down on attendance.

    The video shows in order:
    1. Marklin HO European layout
    2. Bemo HOm gauge Swiss layout
    3. N Scale layout
    4. HO Scale layout
    5. Z scale modular group
    6. LK&R HO modular group
    7. View of some of our vendor tables

It was a nice day for the drive down there to be in attendance! Great to see some old friendly faces, and see the new youngsters faces light up too!

The nice weather could be a reason for low attendance, every pumpkin patch farm I passed was full of family's getting they're pumpkins for Halloween!
