Arnold u25c compatibillity questions and need advice

    so i just ordered a bachmann spectrum magnum controller and a arnold u25c n scale now id like to know if i can cross bachmann and atlas track and what rolling stock is compatible with the u25c sorry for noob questions the last train i had was a thomas one when i was like 6 im much older now so i need returning help thx for ur time

    By “cross” I assume you mean operate on. If that is the case the loco should run on any brand of n scale track. As for rolling stock any brand is compatible as long as the couplers are the same type as what is on the loco.

    I think by "cross" he meant mixing the two types on the same layout, e.g., connecting an Atlas track piece to a Bachmann track piece. If Bachmann is Code 80 (I've never owned any Backmann tracks) then you can connect to Atlas Code 80. However, you will have to "elevate" the Atlas track to meet the Bachmann as I think the Bachmann has molded in ballast. Atlas does not for their Code 80.

    My first train set was Bachmann. Came with an oval of code 80 track. Was same as Atlas trak. This was back in mid 70's. Track did not have road bed back then. Have no ideal how old track is.
