I have been sketching out a plan on how to model this freight station.... I have pictures of every wall except for the east wall, I have all of the Grandt Line doors and windows that I need. I am simply stumped one what to use for the siding and the freight dock....I plan to use styrene, but beyond that, well... If this was an HO build, I would be looking at using Evergreen Novelty Siding, but the lips are too big for N Scale. I was thinking about using their passenger car siding, the .047 spacing is just under the correct size for the scale 8 inch board....but I would like a thicker styrene than 0.030..... I would greatly appreciate a push in the right direction.
Any chance of scribing your own siding? Or http://www.debenllc.com/Scribed-Woo...-12L-Doctor-Bens-Scale-Consortium-_p_162.html Maybe I'm being too simplistic.
Yes, laminating styrene is an option. My problem is that all styrene would be a special order....and I am just going off of the website for data....I can't see if it looks correct.
Just buy 3 or 4 different sizes of N scale siding I doubt you will need anything wider than 12" scale...8" for the sides probably. Don't get hooked up with getting things exact and just model the look. Joe
