Not being satisfied w/ the cylindrical stacks offered on Atlas & Bachmann S-2 & S-4 models being too short to use on LAJ ALCOs, had David Cutting at Cutting Edge Models do the stacks thru Shapeways. Did the same thing for the Santa Fe ones because theirs are rectangular not cylindrical. Posted drawings of both in the photo section of the LAJ group.

An image of the stacks "mounted" on both LAJ & ATSF S-2s is attached here (also in LAJ forum). They obviously haven't been painted/weathered yet as have to soak them in "Bestine" before doing that. Email me at lajrmdlr AT gmail.com if you'd like to get some. Will have them at SpringRail in Alhambra CA this coming Sat. 5/17/14. http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?158002-SpringRail-LA-Div-NMRA-Alhambra-CA-5-17-14

Rail Graphics made my LAJ ALCO era decals (20 sets for $40.00). Now only have enough left to do my own LAJ ALCOs. LAJ fans came out of the woodwork when they found out about mine. :) Here's my version of #1 based on a builders photo won thru eBay. It was a B&W photo but the only thing white were the letters, #s & the side sill. Rail Graphics wouldn't do the zebra stripes or the white line (2") on the side of the hood. Originally was going to use HO scale Santa Fe zebra stripes to do the LAJ zebras. But after looking at alot of LAJ ALCO pix finally realized LAJ's zebra were about 1/2 the size of Santa Fe's. So will be using the N scale version (60-1161). Haven't tried doing those yet.

Learning that my Dropbox links weren't "publicly viewable", did that by clicking on the "Share link" icon. Also have learned that UP & WP didn't use the stock ALCO stacks so now have pix of those locos plus ATSF & LAJ ALCOs in one Dropbox folder:

Please let me know if these Dropbox links here work now.

    Andy,

I'm getting "Nothing here" when I click on your links. Darn, I wanted to see your pictures.
