Hi, everybody: I'm working on an SP&S-themed layout. I was surfing the Web last week and saw, in a Bing search, a track plan with a similar theme in N scale (I think) with the locale listed as NW Oregon. Tried to click on it, but I somehow fumble-fingered it into cyber-oblivion. I'm certain it had a Trainboard tag. A seemingly endless search of the TB site yielded zero results. I contacted Charlie, who suggested I ask the membership if anyone knows about this track plan. Help! Bob

No, it isn't; the one I saw was a U-shaped, around-the-walls type. I appreciate your answer, though. Thanks!

I've been thinking about this, and nothing is coming into mind. :(

It might be the SP&S layout that was featured in N Scale Railroading several years back. However that one was NOT based in Or. It was based on Wishram to Astoria. It is around the wall double decker layout. If this is the one, the layout now belong to my friend Tom Hart.

OP, are you thinking of the OWNry? http://ownry.squarespace.com/

I enjoyed this layout, a bit but the owner has torn it down as he was moving. I really do wish I could model on that level.

I forgot about Kent Williams layout. I have heard it is beautiful, although I have never seen it.

I've never seen it in person, just pictures and videos.

Kent's layout was one of the better N scale layouts in Northern California. Kind of a spaghetti bowl (meant in a good way!), but a fun one for both people that liked running and operations. I operated on his layout quite few times since I've lived within a hour or two of Kent's former home near Nevada City, CA. I don't ever remember seeing a detailed track layout diagram. There was a CTC diagram that they used in JMRI, but that's as close as you'd get. You can see some 'generic' track diagrams posted on the wall above the Portland yard. By the time of dismantling, he had infiltrated most of the other garage. He added track and yards so frequently it seemed like, up till the end even.
