I turned on my Playstation 3 this afternoon to find some new features where available, including one called "TineIn Radio" (in the PS Store) it was free so I installed it and began poking though the new free add-on. At first I was not that impressed as I was just seeing stuff like local radio stations (which I don't care for anyway..) Then discovered how to select by location and was able to find the Detroit FM station I use to listen to when I lived close enough to get it. So I was happy.. Then tried the 'search' function and typed in 'railroad', and up came a list of rail audio stream across North America. I also search for things like police, fire and amateur radio and found streams for them also. Some not very active, a few unable to connect, but still there. So if you have a PlayStation 3, go give it a try, it's a FREE app in the PS Store, just download and install.
RIF isn't what it use to be now the Author P. is gone.. But a LOT of the other are now on WCSX (94.7) which sounds like the old RIF I grew up on.
