Here's a little firehouse diorama (6 3/16" x 5 11/16") that I've been working on but it still needs shingles, weathering, American flag, signs/details & figures to be considered finished. Structure is scratch built from Evergreen styrene, Grandt Line windows/doors & some stolen parts from a Model Power kit. Vehicles are CMW and modified Athearn. The brick driveway & sidewalks are from Kancali. Any comments welcome & it may go up for sale once completed - all serious offers considered.

That looks like an old fire house that once stood in Portland Oregon.

The brickwork on the driveway really caught my eye - nice color variation.

Nice work, really like the brick drive way .. what ? no Dalmation/s ??? , reminds me of a fire house that is/was in Boise Id by North Jr High school ... not sure if still there but was in 1965!!!

I Like it a lot. It has a rural feel to it. The short wheelbase backdated the truck, all it needs is a gumball centered on the cab. Another easy and cheap 70's era fire engine can be made from the ancient Bachmann ALF pumper body and an Athearn Ford C series cab and chassis:

I like the building, and the bell tower looks realistic. The only thing I would change is the roadway, which is much too dark.

Shouldn't a fire house be red?

Nice work Paul! How did you do the bushes? Those would look good at the house I have on Rockin' Toxin'.

Hello Eagle2...The Kancali brick street material was first spray painted using rattle cans (different reds/browns/black flat or matte) then washes were added to highlight. Link to their website:

Hello paperkite....I checked the Woodland Scenics figure set that I have not included in the diorama yet (Firemen to the Rescue A2151) and yes, it does contain a Dalmatian and a cat!

Hello JMaurer...I chose to be different and painted mine brown ;-)

Hello Dave...Thanks for the compliment! The bushes or hedges were done using a Heki product #1185, which I split in two (since it's scaled for HO).

Looks a lot like the engine we had when I was a volunteer fireman. A few memories there.

Back at the old homestead, ours was white. The two here where I live now, are white.
