N&W C628/C630 paint match

What would be the correct paint for the as delivered NW blue? I am assuming these were delivered in this blue and not the black paint job.

 

I have been told it is Wabash blue, adopted because the N&W hired away the CEO of the Wabash at the time, and he liked that color. I also think that all the C630s were delivered in blue, but the first C628s were delivered in black, with later ones delivered in blue.

 

Is that the paint you want them in Mark? Going to order some paint next week.

I want mine in black, that's why I went with C628s. I actually like the C630 better, but I didn't want them to have to be blue. Here's one:

They need to be road number 110X.

 

I belive it is called Pelver Blue, a close match is Testors Model Master Blue Angels blue. I used it on 2 E-8's I did for a friend. Bob.

 

Black it is. Should have everything then.
