I was in the process of replying again and FireFox crashed, grrrrr!
I was looking on Atlas's site and they have decorated shells for the GP30's with the large logo and the GP35's with the smaller logo for $10 ea. if that's any help.
You can usually find just chassis for these on ebay from time to time.

Or one could just get the shells to have some extra laying around. That way you could change the look if their loco fleet with minumal cost. Of coarse you would need to have other locos of the same type chasis to make this work.

Also, remember that our TrainStore area has a "Wanted" section for this type of search.

I have an old Kato/Dream Designs SD45 you might like. Earlier version, so not sure how DCC friendly.

Rio Grande never had SD40s, they had SD40T-2s, which Intermountain has made.

Seen DRGW SD40T-2s on ebay quite often.

    Couple of quick questions:
    1. DC or DCC?
    2. Are you looking for a specific road number?

I've got a decent size bunch of GP30 available. With and w/out DCC.
Also have a GP9 available. DCC installed.
PM with specifics,or if you'd like photos of what I have available.

    Hi Dave,
I just got back into this forum after a long absence, but in scanning the posts, I saw you were looking for Atlas DC DRGW locomotives, and I have a couple you might be interested in. I have a newer release GP9 #5904 shell on a non-DCC ready split board chassis and running gear. I got a deal on it and swapped the dcc ready chassis and running gear with one of the older three stripe shell units. You didn't mention this, but in the same late 60's time period I have GP40 #3073 with the split board chassis. I was going to throw a TCS split board decoder in it, but haven't gotten around to it yet, and I have several of these already converted, so I can spare it if you want it. Send me PM if you are interested and I will send you pictures and details.
    Todd
