Here's something novel: rerailers that don't look like rerailers. Yes, it's the old rerailer-in-a-grade-crossing trick, except that this time it really looks like a grade crossing. This new kit comes in two flavors: wide paved road, and narrow dirt road. Plus there's an expansion kit for the paved road to cross parallel tracks (as many as you like). Crossbuck sign kits are included. There's a video of the rerailer in action, as well as more detailed product information, on the NZT Products rerailer web page: http://www.nztproducts.com/zd-rerailer.htm
Good Job. IT is even better than the bigger scales. Do they even have anything like this in other scales? It is actually hidden very well. Again thank you for making practical and good looking model railroad products. No matter how well you tweak the track, the cars and the wheels, sometimes they will jump, so there is a need for these things out there. Shoot, I might just get a couple of these for a planned highway crossing on my layout, just for the looks Kelley Wright.
Will these work with Marklin track and IBL roadbed? I have an already built railroad that has IBL roadbed and Marklin track. Can these be used with that configuration? I love your product! Way cool.
You may be able to adapt them for that configuration with some filing or sanding. However, rerailers are being planned for Marklin track, so if you're patient, you may not have much work to do.
David, The rerailers look great, but I have to tell you, what I really liked were the added details to the video, i.e. the leader and the trailer and captions. A nice nostalgic touch. Dan S.
Thanks for posting this Dan, as I also noticed and appreciated those added video touches. An artist is an artist, no matter the medium, and DKS is an artist on all counts. Bravo Mr. Smith.
