Thanks. The roads are sheet styrene, painted w/ Floquil UP Harbor Mist Grey, and the stripes are Woodland Scenics dry transfers.
Looks fantastic, Dave. While I know there is compression (at least selective elimination and rearrangement of the blocks), the realistic size of the buildings really adds to the overall realism of the scene.
Great scratch building. Love the detailed parking lots. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Happiness is a new...scene...on the layout. I'm putting the finishing touches on the Caliente Horseshoe area of my layout. As in other scenes, there is some serious selective compression. In this case, Tunnel 1 is immediately adjacent to the Caliente-Bodfish Rd overpass. You've got to make due with the space you have, eh?
Did someone say double double? A new addition to the layout, a resin 68 Ford pickup purchased from Rasputen on the railwire, painted and windows added. I got a little too aggressive on the roof removing a bit of overspray and exposed some of the primer, but I think I'm going to leave it - the Central CA sun takes it's toll on 27 year old vehicles....
Really impressed with your backscene in the Bodfish Road overpass photo there Dave. The whole scene looks quite deep. two thumbs up!
Hi gang - here's another update, I've done some detail work around the loop ranch area. It's loosely based on some of the structures that were there in 95 (and I think still are) - the hay bale barn, the storage shed, some concrete watering troughs for the animals, and a few details here and there. You know it's been a long time since you've posted when you can't remember the code to post images ....
