What's a good DC walk around throttle power supply nowadays ? Do they still exist ?

I have one of the plug in throttles and intend to buy one with memory. Have used it for a couple of years with no problems on my n scale steamers. Pulse width modulation, runs real slow, has a pot to adjust momentum.

Does it hook up to the layout like the Radio Throttles, between PS and Rails ? Price looks real good if I'm reading it correctly ?
    Anyway, thanks for your input,

Thanks for looking at my vids!
The GML works off ac supply. You get a main controler station which the hand-held can plug into, and you can install sockets around your layout. The plug/socket is a stereo jack, Works really well.http://www.thegmlenterprises.com/id18.html
As for the Train Engineer, I think they are hard to find now. The now gone Standard Hobby Supply was the last place I saw them advertised. I would personally go GML. They will custom make to your specs.
    Cheers, Bob.

Kens throttle w/o memory is the one I have. Two leads from an AC power supply and two leads to the track. I am using the AC off an MRC pack as the power supply. Has roughly an 8 ft cable. I put a plug in on the fascia in the centre of my layout. If I don't convert to DCC I intend to get his throttle w/memory when I expand the layout so you can get a train in motion, unplug and plug into another receptacle further down the layout.

koko_ , thanks for the info., I'm starting to see a little of what is out there in 2012 still in DC. I saved it in my folder kokok_.

Cleaned and ran about 400' today for the first time since "2003". It wasn't that bad after I stipped the layout of all removable pieces, to make room for elbow maintaince. 8 years is 8 years of a lot of dust, grime unknown funk from your own home ? Still using the old Goo gone centerline route to start cleaning the rails, it still works like a charm. What is the new hot setup on clean Nscale rails ?

So far so good on the track lower and mid sections. ( Didn't start on the old Atlas Remote switches yet ) Upper section hasn't been touched, but hopefully it will be as the other was. Should be the easiest level ? (Knock on wood) Next time I will use a cover of some sorts in the off season to try and prevent this from getting this dusty again.

After 8 years there is a lot I forgot how I wired, now I have to find that old paperwork. I figured out most of the lower sections tonite without paper work.

I'll tell you folks, I had a blast today like I hadn't had in a while, hope the same for all y'all !

    Day 2 of reconstruction.
