I cant wait to see your entries! Good luck!
Nuts!! I have put away my newest available locomotive, and the one I received last had to be returned to the seller. I'm still awaiting a replacement...probably due next Friday if I am lucky. No new modelling for me.
Seeing how our last weekly challenge was early December, before the end of the year contest, I would believe "New Stuff" would include anything acquired from around Christmas until now. .. if that helps.
Thanks, Mark. The item most recently acquired was the ATSF Northern that I imaged about three weeks ago. It had some serious issues, probably due to shipping damage. A replacement was to have been shipped on Friday, but it will have to cross borders.
This might be stretching the "new stuff" a bit since I completed this on Jan. 4 but what the heck. If this competition were to happen a few days from now I'd be able to show off the diesel facility I'm about to scratch build. Brian
Old Time Passenger train, with freight in background Here's a combined shot of my new rolling stock, the 50' Overland coach consist, along with the 3 40' Pacific Fruit Exchange reefers. (all acquired in last 10 days) Also, a bunch of cowboys have shown up on the layout, but not in this photo.
For me it's ALL NEW! First time post, and what the heck, why not here. Here's a shot, just taken, this afternoon, on my first ever full blown complete with scenery etc layout. A fellow on an RV forum of all places scratched my itch and got me goin... This is the only section on a 36 X 80 layout that is near completion so far. Since I live almost in the Rockies (Colorado Springs) why not use something I get to see every day as my model? I prefer early 1900's, and steam, of course. Hopefully I will post more as I plod along. BTW - ballast on this section is barely started.... Al S.
Welcome to TrainBoard Al! Wonderful first post! Getting people involved, even if its just for the heck of it, is what this is all about! Great photo too.
new Dixon skyline The newest feature on my railroad is the rebuilt town of Dixon, completed on February 2.
