I am new and am looking for track plans. I have a "U" shaped area 14' x 17' x 14' and I would like to have a shelf layout with max of 3' shelf with larger ends. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance.

If you subscribe to Model Railroader Magazine, they give you access to their online database that has tons of track plans on it and you may find one that you can modify to your own space and needs. Other than that if you Google search track plans it will give you a bunch of listings to look through.

I'd have to agree that the train board design group is probably the best option. I'm biased but you will get asked a lot of pointed questions that will help you define your overall goals. From there it will be easier to design the layout that is right for you.

I found the one I am most likely going with on the Kato web site. They have a link to a bunch of different track plans, with materials lists included.
