A new one for me. Extra 5345, with the local turn in tow, pulling the hill around battleship rock. . . . .
Another very credible scene from you, Russell. I like the sky and the tower in near-silhouette, and your crossing is nicely rendered. Very nice pic. Carl, it looks like a very nice locomotive. Nice layout, too. I show a Norfolk & Western J #607 drifting down Seneca Hill trailing a small commuter train. There's a lovely impression of distance in that view, Crandell. Here's an old Athearn GP9 I just finished weathering about to reach the river.
Mike, the timbers you show close-up are superbly done. I would not have been able to tell they were scale timbers if it weren't for the context of your post. Really well done.
I finally finished my scratchbuilt engine house. I got the idea from a picture of a Laser Art kit and basically copied the pic. It's completely scratchbuild with the only store bought details being the windows and doors.....
An old favorite. 416, A southbound freight , passes through Sarona, Wisconsin. Still need alot of details! Terry
I'm going way back on this one--Denver Great Train Expo, about 2003 or so... Just a few fav scenes from the Ntrak layouts...
Very nice work this week! Mike - Love that B&M Geep (and scene). Nicely done. Just another video this week which many probably saw from the other WPF on MR. It's showing off my recent scenery upgrades (and the digital stabilizer on my camcorder:tb-wink . FOLLOWING #14
Hi, all, The X2011 West NMRA National Convention team was able to go behind the scenes of one of the Great Model Railroads 2011 layouts - Otis McGee's SP Shasta Division in HO - one of John Armstrong's last designs. Enjoy seeing this preview of one of the great layouts open during X2011 West NMRA Nationals (Advance Section SF Bay Area July 1-3, 2011, main convention July 3-9, 2011 Sacrament, CA). See the photo album preview at: X2011 West NMRA Nationals 2011 - Facebook (anyone can see this, you don't have to login or be Facebook member) We've included a few shots here, see more above, *especially* the behind the scenes shots. Enjoy, all!
Not much work done, but at least my town has got a sign. And I've started with the first house, scratch build. Wolfgang
Once again, another great round of photos. I have nothing to add yet, as I am still in the planning stages, however these threads are always VERY inspiring. I am excited to one day get to the point of being able to add a photo here and there myself.
Interesting lighting on the club NTRAK layout this afternoon. The sun was shining in the door of the building where we are set up.
I really like scenes where trains appear and disappear framed by buildings like this. Great job even without details!
