I have some vehicles that I puchased many years ago, and I'm wondering just who the manufacturer was. Does anyone remember these vehicles and who made them? Was it Revell?
They were made by Revell in the early 60s, an assortment of circa 1961 Chrysler vehicles, including a Valiant station wagon and the Dodge version of the Valiant called the Lancer. They were available as separate assembled models or as a 6-car kit with extra parts to customize them. Con-Cor reintroduced the 6-car kit in the late 70s-early 80s, however the dies were so worn out that the cars and parts were poorly molded and flash-filled
Thanks for the confirmation. I thought that they were made by Revell, but there is nothing to indicate the manufacturer on the cars themselves. I did buy them separately, probably in the early 60's as you mentioned. I know that I have a Chryler convertible somewhere, but I haven't seen it for a long time. These I pulled off my modular HO layout prior to selling some of the modules. I am trying to prepare myself for selling the rest of my HO collection--buildings, vehicles, engines and rolling stock. Although I am not utilizing the HO for anything anymore, I still having trouble parting it, especially the more unusual items.
Here are a couple more vehicles that I am seeking confirmation on. These are metal, diecast vehicles with rubber tires. I think they may be Lesley models. Can anyone confirm or deny this assumption?
