    Hiya.

I purchased a set of CMW White delivery trucks from woo woo woo a few weeks ago and when I received them and before opening the pack I noticed there were no front wheels on one of the trucks. I checked to see if there were any holes or openings in the vinyl blister but everything was okay. I opened the blister thinking that the wheels had come loose and were lodged in the blister somewhere but couldn't find the wheels so I assumed that they were assembled w/o the wheels. I sent an e-mail to CMW asking if they could just drop a set of wheels into an envelope and pop it off to me. I got the envelope today and much to my surprise they sent me a new set of trucks! I'm grateful for the kind CS but I still need a set of front wheels! :) Thanks again, CMW. Regards,

    Repair shop scene

It looks like a truck is headed to the garage to have the front end worked on. A small scene with a repair shop, the truck is jacked up and the mechanic is working on the truck. [IMG]

You could get a bunch of resin wheels you see come with resin cars. I seen ebay sellers that sell them in huge lots. You can make some. They may, or may not spin, but will look good anyway. Many N scale cars and trucks dont have spinning wheels anyway, and really dont need to. They would still be great to set around on the layout..

If ya can't find any, I have lots of those cast wheels, and would be glad to drop you a couple in the mail. PM me if you would like me to send ya a couple..

    Hiya.

Tudor, thanks for the offer. I've got a lot of those wheels, too, and even some that I cast myself but the CMW truck wheels are really well-made and detailed so I thot it would be easy for them to send one. I'll probably use some of mine that look close to the ones on the truck. Not a huge problem since I've already "re-wheeled" all of my CMW cars(the original wheels were all too small!). One of these days I'll post pics of what I've done. Regards,

I like to see that kind of responsiveness from a manufacturer. In their case, the "extra wheels" pile is probably far removed, possibly overseas, from the office that got your message. Rather than make you wait they probably thought it was best to treat a customer right.

I had a similar experience with a locomotive manufacturer. The stock decoder with sound went kaput within a month. I wrote to them describing the symptoms - the light would light but was not switchable, and nothing else would happen - and they looked up my warranty card info, asked me to confirm my address and within about two business days I had a new decoder in the mail. (This was my choice as they had also offered to fix it were I to send it in. I wanted to save postage.)

I spent ten minutes putting in the new decoder and it works great.
