    hello everyone.

I recently got a NCE D13SR decoder to go inside a P2K GP30 with the plug n play slot. The instructions for the P2K says to replace the bulbs with new ones. however the NCE instructions are also confusing. they say for LEDS don't need resistors but grain of wheat bulbs do. Will I need to change to bulbs to a different kind or get resistors. I also have a bag of radio shack LEDS i got awhile back that would work great for lighting the light bar. If the other bulbs in the proto wont' work. will the LEDS from radio shack?

    thanks alot!

i'm going to assume i'm going to need resistors for this. After reading carefully it seems i need resistors. but of what type to go with the LEDS?

    Hey Geep Fan,
I have replaced all the lights in my P2Ks with 5mm LEDs and 750 ohm resistors with good results. Hope this helps. Enjoy the process. It is`nt too hard.

how bout bulbs from an atlas master series. the dual mode decoder version? i found an old beat up SD35 thats going to become a slug. i pulled the decoder and everything out. the two bulbs are good, and they had no resistors when hooked up to the atlas decoder

will this pair work with DCC and without resistors?

    thanks
