Thanks Steve , that concrete will go right up to the rail and the parking lot end will join up with the used car lot. Thanks Again , Mike
Will be awhile yet. I may end up doing at least part of the harbor as a small module at some point since the majority of it will be in a 2' wide X 3.5' long space. I've already done several small modules that will allow me to just set things in when the new benchwork finally gets done. But the workbench is cleared for now or until this Fall when I take up my indoor activities again. Have a few rainy day projects when I can't be fishing, hiking, gardening or other activities that I will tinker with.
Ages ago during the Life-Like FA-2's original release. They produced a few in VIA colours to depict the two rebuilt FPA-2's and the two rebuilt FPB-2's that VIA rail owned. The title of the thread is what's on your workbench; not what's been recently added to it.
Started work on an N&W GP35, this one will wear Pelver blue with gold lettering. I think it will look pretty sweet rolling through Hagerstown with my WM circus SD40!
I finished up detailing my NS 8100. I used mainly BLMA parts as the ones FVM supplies are kinda useless, they left the wire too short on the grabs to be glued from the inside. I don't plan on weathering it too soon as I like it being clean. I did however give it a clear coat to seal all the paint on the details.
Just to make sure we're on the same page - You want a piece that would be similar to Cannon and Co's HO scale high hoods? I can put a few of those in my shapeways store!
Just installed decoders in these. still need to do some detailing and weathering. Also need to figure if MTL 2004s or 905 would be better.
My latest stuff that I finished before heading to Triberg, Germany to go hiking in the Black Forrest this past weekend. My shins are killing me from all the walking.... Brian It seems that May is NYO&W Month. Custom Painted and detailed units: Some Custom Painted Central New Jersey Love:
And yet another mindless ES44AC that has been changed and detailed. This time the "Crazy Sevens.." And another SD40-2 Conversion: Pair of GHQ ambulances: Yes, I've been busy... Brian
Here's a GHQ excavator I just finished. While the prototype for the model is a Komatsu I decided to paint and letter it for a Hitachi.
Working on a boiler house for the roundhouse model. The boiler house is being based on two very small, low resolution pics of the prototype ATSF structure at Slaton, Texas. Should have some progress pics taken by tomorrow evening. Robert
