At home I have an Atlas system, at train shows it is whatever they have set up. Usually EZ DCC or Digitrax.

Digitrax mainly because that is what our Ntrak club uses and I liked the throttles the best over the others I looked at.

    NCE Powercab.

The San Francisco Bay Area has a lot of NCE users, and based on that experience,
I went with the PowerCab. I like the ease of use of the PowerCab/ProCab interface,
and the utility and programming capability of the PowerCab.

Other brands well represented in the Bay Area as well. I'm not a 'DCC religious' person,
Digitrax, Lenz, EasyDCC, also make excellent DCC systems. I've not used the other many possibilities to comment on the likes of Zimo, ECoS, etc.

I have an NCE powercab and love it, but I also have a Bachmann EZ-DCC controller. The Bachmann set is ok and I'm glad I have it as it is filling in for my NCE unit while it is away being fixed after a powerspike zapped it. That means I can still run trains:D

No desire to stir the pot. But I am amazed that one of the major family of DCC buss languages, Lenz/Atlas, is lumped into "other".

I knew that Digitrax was big in the USA, but I didn't know that Lenz/Atlas was that insignificant.

    Interesting.

Currently I use an older MRC system and I love it. I would not mind upgrading to Digitraxx when I actually build my permanent layout...

    Ron...

When setting up a poll on TB...you can only give 4 choices. I picked 3 of what I have heard the most about here at TB...and unfortunately some others have to fall to "Others"...sorry...lol.

Are you sure about that? I have not posted a poll yet, but looking at the poll options, the default is 4 choices, but there's an option box and some text saying "Maximum 25 choices"

I use Digitrax. N Scale folks at local club use it.
And the N Scale club I'm interested in joining, in Denver, also uses Digitrax.
Have used Digitrax and Lenz decoders in a few locomotives. Will NOT use
Lenz again though, after I had problems with a decoder. And never received
help and/or information when I contacted Lenz.
I've also been trying out a few of the TCS decoders, and have been quite satisfied with them to date.

Digitrax... but if everyone around me was using NCE or something else I could have gone that way probably just as easily.

I've used Lenz systems for over nine years. I started with a Lenz 01 Professional and now use the Lenz 100 command station with the 01 Professional being utilized in a second power district.

I use Lenz - absolutely love it. I think you might also consider that the Bachmann EZ Command was also developed in cooperation with Lenz. And, if I'm not mistaken, most Atlas locomotives that are DCC equipped have Lenz decoders.

Well, I'm running Digitrax, mostly because I bought a Chief 'wa-yy back when' and never even installed it, but I had BIG plans, yessirree! Now I use a Zephyr command station, primarily Digitrax drop-in decoders (but I'll run whatever comes in a pre-installed unit, and I LOVE my Athearn sound/DCC goodies!) and stationary stuff. I LIKE the LocoNET feature, and I have a Stationary Decoder running my 3 turnouts from the throttle, and an IR/Radio receiver in the mountain top, ready for when I get my DT400R throttle. Once I get that and learn how to use it, I'll be able to sit back and run the layout from the easy chair, with the camera car leading the consist and watching the train run as if I'M in the cab!
Who says you can't be an Armchair Model Railroader and still run a Model Railroad?
