http://www.ebay.com/itm/111057807096?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 These rail joiners started at $.01. Must be like the golden spike ending at nearly $.26 each. Charlie
Like how in the original write up they mention they retail for around $14, yet sell for over $25 after bidding...guess some people like to pay more than retail for rail joiners.
And I second the question - how does one do this. ALSO - has anyone ever seen a way to tell ebay to NEVER add in International on any search?
It's through the Advanced Search. Be in the N Scale category when you click on "Advanced" in the top right. When the page comes up, scroll down to Sellers, click "only show items from" then choose "Exclude" from the drop down below that. Enter as many as you want in the text box immediately to the right, separated by commas. I keep a running text file and just copy / paste the whole list in. Don't be fooled by the size of the box! You do need to save the search. I think you hit the "search" button at the bottom first and then save it, but it's been a while so please don't quote me on this. The 100+ sellers on my ignore list removes from 10 to 25 percent of the auctions from my view, depending on the day. As additional offensive sellers appear I just add them to my running text file.
The real comedy behind it is when you look at the bid history. Based on it, I suspect that the winner put in a $30 max bid for them.
You just gotta love listings that are "NO RETURNS! SOLD AS IS!" and then all the pictures are completely out of focus and useless. Yeesh. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Overland-UP...942328?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3f24e53b38 -Mark
Of little or no use to actual model railroaders, but probably very desirable for Lone Star collectors (esp since they're all still in their original packaging). -Mark
'High Speed' dummy engine $100 (two avail.) http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Speed-...256252?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item1c326f8f3c
Here's the entire 'High Speed' train...engine thru caboose only $5 (plus $12.50 shipping) http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Speed-...933498?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item20d1a0db3a
If any of you can post on evilbait, tell him I have two, new in the box, I will sell him for twenty five bucks each. He can double his money! MORON ALERT! Dave (oh, wait, can't call folks "morons". Sorry. How's this: He models the MONON railroad and can't spell?)
You want $40 for an old Atlas SP Passenger car (plus $9.70 shipping) and you can hardly tell that it's a passenger car from the picture... http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATLAS-S-P-C...301661?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item2c6d98f49d
So it's only $7.50, but (IMHO) it's not worth even that. OLD Trix 'custom' SP caboose...Hey it's 'weathered'! http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-TRIX-35-E...171390?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item35c740ad7e

Or $4.50 with free shipping http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-SCALE-SOU...183449?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item2a2c7f8e59
Here's a listing (actually 3 listings) to buy one locomotive, but the picture shows 26 locomotives http://www.ebay.com/itm/Atlas-4472-...534102?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item43bbadbc16 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Atlas-4405-...534103?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item43bbadbc17 http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-0-6-0-Tan...534104?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item43bbadbc18
