were any of MoPac's SD50s done up in jenks blue or were they all done in the transition scheme? i have seen a few models, and they are all transition, but then again most of the pictures i saw were fairly late in that time period. i'm going to do some more hunting, but thought i'd see if someone knew off of the top of their heads. thanks! beast5420
that's what i was afraid of..... i'm half tempted to do it in jenks blue for grins...... i don't care for up at all is my main problem thanks!
Maybe you could paint one in this transition paint scheme. Or maybe this was from an alternate universe where MP took over UP?
N Scale Version Call it modelers license. I left the trucks and fuel tank black because I didn't care for the "All Blue" look. Lots of road grime and they look almost black anyway..... Brian
Looks like the graffiti artists were busy in your neighborhood......look at that profanity on the side of the engine:tb-tongue:
That's an interesting MP/UP locomotive.... it seems to be at Tower 55 in Ft. Worth, judging by the diamonds, the number of which and position would have been correct for that time period... Also note that the 'Union Pacific' lettering isn't level, and appears that it was painted on pretty quickly for the experimental paint scheme.
