Hey folks, Here's a crappy first shot of a couple of our Passenger car I painted up. Once I get my Tripod and some lighting together I'll post more detailed images. We have plastic for all 4 cars now, just waiting for the Sturrips to finish these off. These are getting close and it's cool to see strings of passenger cars looping around the layout. Cheers Joe MTL
John, That building is there for 'research'. Joe, When can we expect some Heavy Weights? Cheers, Jim CCRR
WOW!!!!! You even have the railroad correct - SP!!!!!! I might have preferred Daylight or Lark but WOW!!!! Where do I send my money!!!!!! Lindley
John, That building is a spy building. It has a miniature camera and tape recorder in it. It tells Rob Kluz everything Joe is doing..............
Not to hijack the thread, but I was sure hoping that water tower was gonna be out this month Joe. I can gaurantee I'll get one as soon as available. Back to the thread, I've already ordered a few of the UP's in hopes of making a prototypical train. So can I expect to see them in Jan or maybe earlier?
Kurt keeps stealing my thunder when it comes time to "pull" for anything GN. All the same, if it helps the cause any, Joe: "GN for me too!" Mike
Not to hijack the thread Joe, but I'd like to know about the black widow F unit in the post #1 photo. Is that available commercially or was it a custom paint job? And does someone make a drop-in decoder for it. I still don't have an Z scale trains yet. But that black widow is a nice looking loco, and if you're doing SP passenger cars soon you definitely have my attention (seeing as I *know* a Texas Special complete with E units won't be "soon"). Best!
That Black Widow is an old release I was able to get a hold of some time ago. Since the F7's are out of production, we won't be able to do any more. We do have the SP A and B in Bloody Nose that would work for passenger service. We have a few others in stock as well. Next year we will be releasing the E8 and E9 A&B's that will take their place and for about the same price point...so if we release a road you like, rest asured there will be E units to pull them. Folks who do UP and SP and several others are lucky in that GP 9 and some others were used for shortline passenger operations. I have photos of UP 9's pulling mixed passenger/freight consists, and SP used them a bunch in the Bay Area, on the Shasta route and points south, many times with a F7 B unit in tow. Joe MTL
