Still Running Well they are still running with no problems, still collecting rolling stock when I see things at a good price possibily planning to go outdoors after the summer passes decided that I would use Stainless steel for my track needs. The track is pricey but planning on running DC. I found my depot G limited addition Coor's Golden at a local show for $49.95
Reasonably priced (new old Stock) I picked one of these cars up for $21.00 plus $15.00 shipping for a grand total of $36.00 I don't know anywhere else you could find any reefer or boxcar for that price I've seen used beat up stuff at shows for $25.00 that stirups and grab irons broken off not to mention buggered up coupler conversions, granted it might not be your road name or even be prototypical but for $36.00 you have something new(NOS) to run in the garden or this could be stripped and re-lettered I mean undecs you can buy for the same price as lettered ones from the manufacture for say around $65.00 plus another $15.00 for shipping on a good day! I have plans on painting and re-lettering cars oneday, and this would be the way to go.
What's been going on update I found another repaint donor $11.00 plus shipping $29.00 I recieved an undecorated reefer the other day waiting on the paint to dry,ya know that is a hard thing to do,not touch it!! I aslo found a piggyback NOS pristine even the box and outer sleeve were mint didn't really get a deal as price goes but than again something that is 15yrs old and someone bought ,saved and offered up for sale I don't mind somethings are hard to come by so for all you collectors out there Thank-you for storing and offering them up for sale!! one happy guy here.. I know this site was down last weekend for maintenance but The large scale show in KS must not have been that exciting not very much reported on certain forums and for that matter since I'm an N scaler also Hershey convention must have been a bust seems like one module got more press than the show, other forums are discussing that the fire scene the fire fighting equipment will get crushed in the building walls fall down. so it must have been a dull show? Where is Mr John Sing reporting(n scale) when he goes to convention he shoots some footage!! On another note I have to start collecting some track for outdoors The Stainless steel, having secound thoughts alot of money lets just say the RR won't be as large have to start slow and add on as finances permit.
I found another piggyback I have wanted, Union ice, NOS This will also be run.. Very happy to aquire one of these.
Prices Flash, The piggybacks were hundred a piece (NOS) cost plus shipping but the upside is that when they made say 15yrs ago I wasn't running G scale so thanks to a collector or accumulater they were new old stock passed onto a greatful recipient so the price to me is well worth the storage and care taken by the previous owner of these cars,Some would say thay hate those collectors because they drive up prices but guess what? we create that market by our needs or wants,at the end of the day I'm happy getting these cars..
I found a couple more new old stock(NOS) Piggybacks that I have added to my stable these have never been removed from their boxes and still have the plastic bag and seran wrap around trailer wheels
More NOS Found another beer Reefer They made a red and blue RCA car I found the blue one Piggly Wiggly one I had never seen before produce by USAT for Woodland Station in 1990
Mayflower moving I found some more piggybacks to add to my collection so when I build outside I will have rolling stock to run

I see this is a fairly old thread, but I wanted to share my overhead G project that I completed this past spring. So much fun to design/build this from scratch.
