I'll bet that the market picked up for MT cars when Kato started making engines of sufficient quality to actually look good with the MT cars. Before that it was the Dark Ages for N Scale.
Reading this topic I remembered a question I had to answer in one of those numerous test I took: If you go to MT and want to get some factory air without buying there overpriced can and you only got a tupperware container, how do you do it? Remember the entire container has to be filled with factory air to make sure it is not contaminated with inferior outside air.
Be very cautious when opening Micro-Trains boxes for the first time. The air from their facility can cause vision problems.... if you are exposed to it enough apprarently it makes you see everything in Bright, Pastel Colors and increases the apparent size of Lettering on everything.....and causes you to think in Themes and Series instead of normally. I am surprised that the State of California hasn't required them to put a Warning Label on their products!! Charlie Vlk
Obviously this problem isn't limited to Micro-Trains. There are plenty of other Fantastic Examples... funny how those are never brought out and flogged though.
Wow I'm quite amazed that this thread has re-emerged after a year. no joke I think the peoples republic California made them put a warning label on them for the chemicals used on their boxes. I bought some from Cali. and they had Warning labels on them.. I think I tore them all off but I'll look and see if I have one with it on it and post a pic of it on here
