a wash with matt black, dab and rub it downwards with paper towl (rubbing fingers is handy to)and then dry brush with redbrown. paints i used tamiya acrilics. thats it, thid building took me a few (3) hours to weather, i go slow and add little by little bits of paint. steven
You've got that rite; between the Salt water off the ocean , and the pollution of Brooklyn. Nice job on the weathering job, and I'm sure the layout will offer lots of fun.
well thanks for all the good comments guys. my little switching layout is set in some fictive harbor area (somewhere were north america and european mainland meet). the article from conductorjonz in nscale magazine really got me going on this.(so thanx to you for the inspiration and the good advice you already gave me!) there will be lots of questions in the next coming weeks cause i still have a lot of firsts to go through (in 28 years lots has changed hehe) -laying flextrack -balasting and weathering track. -wiring for dcc etc once again thanx for all the help stevenb
