Does anyone know where I can get a switching list generator?. I found one that works pretty good except that you have to enter your data every time you use it. There is a check box to "save data" except it doesn't save it. Appreciate the help Edward
Is it something I can download? Paste the link. I'd like to see this. I've been thinking about writing my own program to do this.
There's a spreadsheet based generator on my website (below) that you can download and try. It's free and everything is saved when you hit Save I developed it from a more basic sheet I got sent from someone on here. The possible catch is that it is based on OpenOffice, not Microsoft Office (Excel), so you need to have that on your PC. (OpenOffice is free, but is a big download if you don't have it on a CD).
ALbion's ShipIT! seems like a pretty good product, except you have to enter every one of your cars, sidings, industries etc. Once that labor intensive task is complete the software pretty much runs on its own. You can try it for free for 30 days... (NOT affiliated) http://www.albionsoftware.com/html/ship_it_.html
Greg - I don't have a link unfortunately, I could attach it, its only 44kb, if its not against the rules. I stumbled onto it one night while MRR surfing on the net. It is called Selector2.exe, copyright 2006 by William Pearson. Great little program if it would only save the data Mike - thanks I'll have a look at that one for Open Office Charger - I looked at Shipit, but at $100 I didn't look to long Thanks Guys Edward
I'm not sure how to attach it or if it is legal. I think the only files that will attach are .bmp or jpeg. I suggest you PM each other, exchange emails, and then attach to personal emails.
