This is my N Scale version of the Sunset Limited dining car on the all Budd built train as it existed in the early 1950s.

We're crossing the DelMar High Bridge. That's the Linear Accelerator in the middle left, which we've just climbed past. Above the accelerator is deck three on the east wall. There is no deck 2 on that wall.

We'll return, after a long while, going the other direction on the Eades Bridge, just to the left of the DelMar.

The wall to the right is only a few inches away from the bridge. The bridges were supposed to be a foot away from the wall, but I got lazy: it's easier to build against the wall than free-standing. Live and learn. I'll probably Photoshop it out in the future.

To the lower left is the East Harbor, the Navy base.

There were guard rails on the Eads Bridge. They got hopelessly bent when I fell on the bridge. You can just see where they were attached by the darker bands near the rails.

Cool, great slice and dice job. An old Rowa car strikes again.;)

I also started with a Rowa car to build the diner shown above. One of these days I want to paint one of their coaches in C&NW colors with Southern Pacific in the letterboard like SP ran on the Overland for a while. Strange looking cars.

    Check the lifesaver car!!!

    Sneaky, aren't ya! :p;)

I rebuilt Plainview siding; it now fits longer than 15-car trains.

The BN train is 2 SD40-2's,a nd 20 Athearn hi-sides with caboose. It is a close shave, but it fits.
    Overall:

I am immensely impressed with your several offerings. Russell, had it not been for the lone dangling and silhouetted coupler hose, I would have gone to my grave disbelieving an admission that this was a model. Same for Wolfgang...simply amazing. And for those not singled out, all I can say is that if I can end this year in your league, I will consider it a whopping success.

I have no more doctored images other than the one below...not doctored, but it is what I thought I would share. I took the image from outside my basement window a few nights back...it affords the best overall view of my layout...such as it is.

The span you see bissecting the operating pit is a swing down hinged at the right side of the view. It is electrified and uses barrel locks at the left meeting to the yard. It comprises about 1/3 of a reversing loop that you can trace from the yard and around to the lower main in the background. The left end of the span is the leftmost gap for the reversing loop, and the other gap is just prior to the far turnout. I am using a PS Rev, or actually its replacement, from Tony's as the digital reversing unit...it's a dream.

I would love to see more of the "big pictures", as hytec suggested. I am currently getting the train room cleaned up, paneled and the benchwork ready. I love the scene pics but an overall is great for those of us just starting a layout

This weekend I was working on an oNetrak module that has been made by a friend. He made the module and did the trackwork, I am doing the scenery. I have come this far by now:

This module is the entrance of Jasper Yard. There are two more modules that make the yard complete.

Anybody have watched the local news lately.
Although Japanese TV vans, with some nice decals the now perfect for my San Francisco Bay Area layout.

If there is interest I will even do some local TV vans for other regions.

I'm continuing work on a Bar Mills laser kit..... No roof yet but I've distressed the siding with the Micro Mark "distresser" brush..... I think I like the effect..... [IMG]
