Looks NYC-BKO is working late again. I guess I’ll start up the post this Monday.

We had a very busy weekend. On Saturday we watch my son’s football team, the Drexel Hill Raiders Pee Wee AA, defeat the Glenolden Indians 35-14. We then had to sit through more games before my daughter cheered. After her game we piled into the van and headed to Strasburg, PA and toured the haunted museum at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Sunday my son was supposed to play in an AAA football game but since we got home late Saturday we slept through the alarm. Sunday we visited a party store, the kids are having a Halloween party on Saturday. The party store was in the same shopping center as Mitchell’s Hobbies so I picked up some Woodland Scenics Engineers and Dullcoat.

I did get some modeling done. I added the engineer to the LNE 0-8-0 switcher and reattached the cab. The also gave the handrails their first coat of black.

I actually accomplished what i'd planned for last weekend. Setting up and cleaning off my last old NTRAK module base.

Then I was sidetracked by the World Series game.

Also cleaned off the workbench, and built a portable test track.

Then was once again sidetracked by the World Series game.

    Mark-

You just wait until the college football bowl games! Those really get my attention.

Fortunately, after January, and the end of football season, I have plenty of time for railroading hobbies. Until Arena Football starts..... Then comes April, and boat racing season starts again. And......

Yes. My priorities are a mess....... But through it all, somehow, I'm still a model railroader......

Despite our busy weekend schedule which included a marching band competition, a play, my daughter's region orchestra try out, and a wedding, I actually have made some layout progress in the last week. I have completed 95% of the track laying (one spur remains as soon as I get some more cork road bed). I also started connecting feeder wires to the tracks. Might be able to actually run my trains in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks Tom for starting this again, it looks like Sunday nights are going to be long ones on the Shortline, so if you want it early, I might have to give the assignment to you!!!! [IMG]
As for modeling, I finally go to a LHS Saturday for track and of course they were out of stock of what I needed, so again no siding or yard expansion. So I did what any good modeler would do, I bought some cars, not that I need anymore kits, but what they hey! I almost bought a engine but this shop charges full retail so I passed, the Greenburg show is in a few weeks so I'll wait.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!- :D

Stripped the shells of two LL GP38-2s I bought from nscale_lover (used 91% isopropyl alcohol, paint just sloughed off). When I get the airbrush running, they will be Frisco diesels to match my N scale Frisco caboose. I have plans for all these...... [IMG]

While I was at it, I was on coupler patrol, removing cheap Kadee wannabes & replacing 'em with either number 5s or number 58s. I much prefer the 58s due to their scale size, but I still use number 5s here & there. Also put together another Branchline boxcar, a 50-foot Katy boxcar (with the Gawdawful Deramus Katy logo) [IMG] cheap [IMG]

Aside from that, not much, although I had to work this weekend, and kept up with the Series on ESPN Radio.
