I'm curious... what's the differences between all these besides current rating and the DCS50 having a built in throttle?

    How do they differ functionally?

The biggest difference I'm aware of is the DB150 has no readback of CV ability. If it is used with a computer interface and a decoder programming program used, this wouldn't matter. It also doesn't have a programming track output, it programs on the main.

The other big difference, besides the CV readback, is the number of slots. I believe the DCS100 has 120 while the DB only has something like 22. I don't remember what the Zephyr has but I believe it is also in the 20 range.

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking the Zephyr may work well for me, even with only 10 slots.

    Hey Jon,
It also depends on what you intend to do: home 4x8 layout or a Club layout???

As a whole, it'll be a home layout setup. Will buy a wireless throttle eventually for use at Ntrak outings. (that's a whole 'nother can o worms - DT100R, DT300R, DT400R, or UT4R)

I guess I'll just have to borrow a throttle for tomorrow, or see if there's a good price on one at the show.

You going to the show? [IMG]

    ridge,
I use the DCS-100 as the main command station and the DB-150 (crosswired so it's not a command station) as a booster. usually only at N-trak doings....
at home I use a Zephyr with some of my t-trak modules.

nice thing with this setup, I can use my radio throttles on either system.

don't be afraid to ask any questions... none of us bite (hard) and there are quite a few Zep users here.
