I like many others also wanted a small suitcase layout that I easily can take with me where ever I go. So when the right cases just happen to come along I finally got to build it. I loosely based it on an old photo off a "STANDARD" gas station.

Made by: www.torsja.com - Norway Date: Feb. 2006
    Dimentions: Z-Scale 1:220, Suitcase 31x19x6.5cm(12.2x7.5x2.6in), Track Oval: 25x15cm(9.8x5.9in)

Materials: Peco flextrack, Märklin train, MicronArt's cars, Faller figures, Bawaria Modellnature & Woodland sceenary, plaster and scratch building. System Jürger speedcontoller, 9V battery and 10v Powersupply

The hole picture gallery can be seen here.

    Very nice.

Can you tell us what the construction methods and material is on the model and also where the photo of the prototype was taken (if you know)?

    Thanks,
    randy

    Thanks guys
Most off the materials I used is listed in the first posting.
But the walls and windows off the gas station is kit beached from a small Faller N-Scale apartment building that I had lying around. Other then that it's all build from scratch with bits and peaces that always is lying around in a drawer.

The Gas Station is an old "STANDARD Oil" type from the 30'Th. Exactly where in Norway it's from I don't know.

I especially like the roof details right down to the tar lines on the seams.

The roof was actually the easiest to make. It took me about 5minutes.
It's made off a styrene bottom with styrene sidings. The tar paper is made off a "medical" tape usually found in any first aid kit. Then first painted with Humbrol Flat black. And tar lines made with thick Humbrol Satin Black. That's all.

    Torsja,
It is Awesome, I was looking at the gas station picture and there is a ton of detail just in the gas station alone. Very nice... nice weathering too, how did you the 'esso' gas tank the one at the side with a dent?
