If you will be attending Trainfest this weekend in Milwaukee WI, be sure to stop by the Athearn booth. We will unveil one of our all new Athearn Genesis models at 10:00am CST on Saturday and it will be on display all weekend. Stop in and say hi and talk N scale with me as well.
Let's see. A world premiere in Wisconsin. I'm betting it's either a Fairbanks-Morse, a Harley or a Nash.
It used to be a four block walk to the front door of that building but back then it was in the old ones. I went to the first one in that new building and went once after moving 48 miles away. But now I'm about 120 some miles north. So some pictures would be appreciated.
OK, I'm intrigued by this. I was at Trainfest today and yesterday and stopped by the Athearn booth both days. I spoke to the people at the booth about doing another run of John Deere tractors. However, I didn't notice any new N scale stuff and they didn't mention their new N scale model. I guess I missed the big news.
Saw the video. Nicely done. One thing I would wish from you and others in the industry, is consistently giving us information on applicable use time frame. Such as when was that tank car first placed into service? I would believe they are still in everyday use to this date. My modeled scenario cuts off at 1968. No PC, no BN, no ATK, no mega-merger era. So nothing is of interest, thereafter.
After some searching, I found it. A 13K tank car with shelf couplers. This was announced before but this is the first unveiling of the actual model. Hopefully some better pics coming this is grab from the video Jim posted to the Athearn Facebook page. It is going to be a Genesis model so that means it should be a step up. Genesis used to be just HO but during the rebranding Athearn did earlier this year, it can now be any scale and be Genesis.
