The void of hobby shops worthy of the name, that is. I work in n scale and have a mid-sized layout in the very early planning stages.
Where are you at Sodj? You’re right! between The Wonderful World of Trains in Ogden and The Train Shoppe in SLC, lies a vast barren landscape of hobby shops that aren’t RC cars/planes and arts/craft stores. I have found the odd piece at Hammond Toys in SLC and M.R.S. Hobbys in Sandy. Of course, mentioning them only further proves your point, doesn’t it?
I'm specifically in Kaysville. After Almosta Junction in Layton and Hobbytown in Bountiful closed, the four you mentioned are pretty much the only games in town. I haven't been to the train shoppe (I get the feeling they're almost exclusively HO based on their website) but the other three have proven helpful for supplies.
Oh, beans! I'll have to make the trip sometime, then. Are they open now with all the craziness going on? Sent from my moto e5 play using Tapatalk
They were operating at reduced hours up to a few weeks ago, but they’re back to regular business hours now.
