I have a one or two spots where I want a modern distribution center or manufacturing plant. I'd like to run boxcars in and out.

I was looking at Nu-Line structures, but they are too deep. Has anyone cut these down slightly, or done any kitbashing with them? Are they easy to work with? I've never kitbashed, so I don't want to start with something too difficult.

The only Nu-Line structure I have is the Azusa Ca. station kit. I have it about ¾ completed. I’ll post a picture when I’m done. It’s not a “Shake the box” kit, but it’s not a “Dear sweet God!! What have I gotten myself into?” kit either.

From what I have seen of these kits at train shows they look perfect for kit bashing and back drop uses.

Two things when building these kits. The parts MUST!! Be washed in something like dish soap to remove the mold release, or something that felt oily, and then primed before painting.

Second Testor’s model glue doesn’t seem to work well on the main wall sections. Try an ACC.

There's an article in the latest NSR where a modeler cut down a Nu-Line kit.

Hi Richard I must say that they are very easy to bash. This was my very first time at bashing anything. They do take up some room. I have two of the kits # 1 and one #2

up mike, those look great. That's exactly what I'm looking for.

What did you use for your parking lots?
