Have you, or will you, put sanding sealer on the wood?

I have not don’t it yet. I was going to try just high fill primer. I have an automotive Grade spray primer. I’m testing it on some scrap, if it doesn’t work I will try some shellac. That’s how I seal my wood working projects.

I am interested in seeing how it turns out. I an Ambroid kit I still need to build, so that means I have to seal it somehow, either before or after building it.

I think it’s best to seal it after you glue it. But I’m just going off of my wood working knowledge, and come be wrong. This is the first craftsman kit I’ve done. So far it’s a lot of fun I might try more.

I saw someone say on another forum that they take the instructions from the wood kits and go out and buy the same dimension styrene parts to avoid the sealing and working with wood parts in general. Honestly, that blew my mind. If I can find duplicate decals to replicate some of the kits I have, that might be a game changer.

It wouldn’t be that hard I think the print that came with mine is 1:1 so duplicating the pieces wouldn’t be hard.

I’m still trying a few things but it looks like the t-57 is the best fit.
